The "New Home Grands" is our group of senior adults.
The "Grands" have a luncheon the second Wednesday of each month at 11:00 am, which provides a special time of fellowship. They also enjoy various trips and outings throughout the year. Previous trips have included Callaway Gardens at Christmas time, Foley Outlet Malls, and various museums and tour sites.

COMING EVENTS
July 8th - The Grands are going to Sylacauga aboard our "New Shuttle Bus" . Depart at 9:30 AM we will visit Gravity Hill Road and the Blue Bell Ice Cream plant (admission $2.00) Lunch will be on your own. Arrive back at the church around 3:30 PM
September 20-22 - Trip to Savannah, GA .

LET'S GO TO SAVANNAH GEORGIA
MONDAY - 20 September 2010
7:00am - (Central Time) Depart New Home
3:45pm - (Eastern Time) Tour Savannah's Candy Kitchen - free samples
4:30pm - Check into Courtyard by Marriot Historic downtown(interior corridors with elevator)
5:45pm - Depart for dinner 6:00pm board the Savannah River Queen
7:00pm - Boat departs - all you can eat dinner buffet and Southern Gospel Entertainment
TUESDAY - 21 September
6-8:00am - Deluxe Continental Breakfast at the hotel Big lunch planned so eat light
8:45am - Arrive at the Welcome Center to catch trolley
9:00am - 90 minute tour on the trolley and receive an on/off pass to explore Savannah
10:30am - Depart for lunch-usually a long line-WORTH WAITING FOR-trolley will drop off
11:00am - lunch at Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House-WONDERFUL FOOD-SOUTHERN STYLE
COOKED VEGES-served family style at your table-all you can eat
Afternoon back on trolley and explore Savannah on your own-historic district is safe, but no Grands women will be allowed to be unaccompanied-Saint Bob has been volunteered!
DINNER will be on your own.
6:30pm - Return to hotel to freshen up or rest!
7:00pm - Please choose one:
( ) Carriage Ride - 25-30 blocks of the Savannah historic district 7:00 then every 20 minutes
COST - $20.00
( ) Ghost Tour - Departs 7:00pm and 9:00pm COST $25.00
( ) Savannah Theatre featuring "SOUTHERN NIGHTS - Arrive by 7:30pm Show starts 8:00pm a musical variety show.
WEDNESDAY - 22 September
4:30am - Leave to go to Tybee Island to view sunrise and have devotion (not a requirement to go!)
6-8:00am - Deluxe Continental Breakfast at your hotel.
